Birmingham-based Cleone Foods has struck a major distribution deal with Midlands Co-op to sell its Island Delight Caribbean patties in stores across the region.
The deal, which strengthens the company's distribution network in the Midlands, will see Island Delight Caribbean patties on sale in 60 new retail stores.
Wade Lyn, managing director and founder of Cleone Foods said: "We're really excited about offering Midlands Co-op customers a taste of the Caribbean in their weekly shop.
I am sure that our patties will fly of the shelf and spread a little Island Delight throughout the Midlands."
Mr Lyn said the deal also reinforced Island Delight's position as the UK's number one Caribbean pattie brand with a market share of over 55 per cent.
Currently celebrating its 18th birthday, Cleone has a turnover of 2.1 million and currently manufactures 120,000 Caribbean patties every week at its facility in Hockley.
The patties come in seven fillings, including vegetable, chicken, beef, lamb, salt fish, halal chicken and halal lamb.
Jan Boots from Midlands Co-op said: "Island Delight Caribbean patties have proven extremely popular with customers across the country and the Midlands in particular.
We are always looking for new and exciting products to offer our customers and, as Caribbean cuisine continues to grow in popularity, we are delighted to be stocking Island Delight patties."
